FUNCTION KEYS

This pager has two keys to the right of the display screen.  One arrows up and the other arrows down.  The down arrow is also the “Function Button”.

READ BUTTON

This button is located below the display, to the right side of the pager and is oval in appearance.  Its main purpose is to display incoming calls.

TURNING PAGER ON

Press the “read” button and hold for 2 seconds to turn on the pager.  The pager will go through a start up sequence and will vibrate/beep for a few seconds.  You can stop the beeping by pressing the read button.

TURNING PAGER OFF

Press the function button five times until you see “pager off”.  Press the read button and it will show the pager has been turned off.

SWITCHING TO SILENT MODE

Press the function button once, until you see  “silent” on the display.   Press the read button and the pager vibrates.  All pages coming in when this is activated will be silent, and the pager will only vibrate to alert you.

READING AN INCOMING PAGE

This pager has 12 message slots and each message slot stores up to 20 digits.  When a message is received the pager vibrates (when in the silent mode) or beeps (when in the sound mode).   Press read key while at clock display mode, the pager will display the total number of messages .  Press read key again and it will continue to view the messages in order, unread messages first. 

MESSAGE LOCK

You can lock a message to prevent it from accidentally being erased.  Press the read button until the message is on the screen,  press down arrow, “lock ?” appears press read key and the lock icon will display.  You can only lock a maximum of 8 messages.

MESSAGE UNLOCKING

To unlock a message, press the read button until the message is on the screen, press the down arrow, “unlock ?” appears, press the read key and the message will be unlocked.

DELETING MESSAGES

Use the read key to locate the message to be deleted, use the down arrow to find delete, press the read key and the message is deleted.  To delete all messages, press arrow down button until “delete all” appears on the screen, press the read button for about 1 second, all the unprotected messages will be deleted.

SETTING THE CLOCK

Use the down arrow key to go to “time”, press the read key to confirm the number.  To change each flashing figure use the arrow down button and confirm by pressing the read button.  To return to main screen press the up arrow and the set time will appear.

SETTING THE DATE

Use the arrow down key to go to “date” setting, press the read button to confirm.  To change the flashing figure use the arrow down key to correct number, press the read key to accept and the arrow up key to return to main screen.

SETTING THE ALARM

Use the down arrow to go to “alarm” setting, press the read button to confirm.  The current changeable option will flash to indicate adjust can be made.  Press the down arrow to change the option, press the read key  to confirm the change.  Press the up arrow key to return to main screen.  When alarm is activated a bell icon will appear at the bottom of the screen.

BACKLIGHT

To turn on the backlight for low light conditions, press and hold the “up arrow” for three seconds.
