 The MINITOR III Voice Pager
The Motorola Minitor III is a specialized unit designed specifically for Fire Departments. Many volunteers carry one twenty for hours a day to enable them to respond to emergency calls.
This model is no longer in production but as stock permits, some used and reconditioned units come available.
A number of features such as stored voice, vibration alert, dual channel, group call and more is available as options.
Designed specifically for the Fire and Emergency Medical Services markets, the MINITOR III alert monitor receiver can scan two channels and has both tone and vibrating alerts. And now, there's a better way to change frequencies, paging tones or operational modes...all through a field programmer!
Plus, the MINITOR III alert monitor receiver can support up to six calls per channel, allowing individuals to be members of many different teams.
The MINITOR III receiver is also built to hold up in tough environments and is protected against dust, water and other contaminants.

MINITOR III is synthesized and programmable meaning the frequency and codes can be changed by a field programmer. What are the frequency ranges and coding rules?
MINITOR III covers the 143-174 MHz frequency range with specific sub-bands of 143-150.999, 151-158.999, 159-166.999 and 167-174.000. This means 1 receiver can be programmed for frequencies within that particular freq. range. The MINITOR III will handle tone frequencies between 280 and 3400 Hz.
Other synthesized products have specific rules for which frequencies can be programmed, does the MINITOR III have similar rules?
Yes, the MINITOR III operates via a microprocessor with a specific step frequency. This only allows frequencies that are divisible by .0050Hz. One simple way to tell whether or not you have a valid frequency is to examine whether or not the frequency ends with a 0 or a 5 such as XXX.XX5 or XXX.XX0.
