The CORPORATE 6100 Alphanumeric Pager

TURNING YOUR PAGER ON AND OFF
At the standby screen, press Key C to bring up the menu options. Press Key B until it displays “Turn Pager off?”. Press Key C once and the pager is off.

To turn pager on, press and hold Key C for 2 seconds. Pager will beep when it is turned back on.

RECEIVING AND READING YOUR MESSAGES
When a message is received, your pager alerts you. Press Key D once to stop the alert and twice to read the message. The pager automatically stores the message and the time and date it is received. If the message is longer than four lines, keep pressing Key D to scroll through the message.

If more than one message exists, press Key B to select the message you want to read. Press Key D to display your message.

An envelope in the top right hand corner indicates that you have a message that has not been read. The pager alerts every six minutes to remind you of any unread messages. The pager will store up to 19 personal messages in memory.

While reading a message, press and hold Key C to switch the message display between 2 or 4 lines

USING THE FUNCTION MENU
Press Key C to display the function menu. The function menu gives you access to the many features of your pager through a series of symbols and prompts. For example, when the function menu screen is first displayed, the symbol flashes, indicating the present position of the cursor. You can now press Key B to move the cursor within the function menu. NOTE: To exit from any menu without making changes, press Key D.

LOCKING AND UNLOCKING MESSAGES
Messages can be locked in memory, preventing them from being replaced when Memory is full. While reading the message, press Key C, this brings up the lock icon, press Key C once to lock message. The standby screen should now display a locked message. To unlock, open the message, while reading, press Key C, this brings up the unlock icon. Press Key C once again to unlock the message.

DATA BANK SELECTION
When reading a message, be sure you are in the right data bank. To switch from Personal, Locked, or Notebook, use Key A and then use the others keys to read and scroll through the messages as you normally would.

SETTING THE TIME AND DATE
Press Key C to display the menu options. Press Key B four time to move the cursor to the “Set Date and Time” icon. Press Key C to accept. Key A changes the year, date and time, and Key B moves the cursor.

SETTING THE ALARM
The alarm on your pager can be set for specific time and date, or it can be used as a daily alarm.

To set the alarm for a specific time and date:
Press Key C to display menu options. Press Key B twice and then Key C to accept. Key A lets you choose the alarm (between 1-12) you wish to set. Key B moves the cursor over to able and disable the alarm. When “Disable” appears, you can choose the day by pressing Key A. Key B moves the cursor over to the time slot.

SETTING THE ALERT MODE

Press Key C to display menu options. "Set Alert Mode” appears. Press Key C to accept. Using Key B to move the cursor and Key C to accept, you can scroll through and choose the alert mode you wish.

DELETING MESSAGES
Press Key C to display menu options. Using Key B to move the cursor until “Delete Message” appears. Key C accepts this option. From here you can choose to delete all the messages at one time or just one.

OTHER FEATURES:
Battery Gauge: The battery gauge indicator appears on the screen when the energy level is getting low.

Out of Range: The antenna symbol is displayed whenever you are out of range of the paging transmitter. The symbols may also show up when you are in range, if transmitter activity is idle for short periods of time, so don’t be alarmed if it displays while within range.

BATTERY INFORMATION
Your pager is designed to operate with a single AA-size alkaline battery (carbon zinc batteries are not recommended). To install or replace the battery, place the pager face down and proceed as follows: Unlock the battery door by sliding the door latch away from the battery door. Slide the battery door in the direction of the arrow (toward the outer edge). Lift the battery door away from the housing to remove it. Lift the battery out of the battery compartment, taking note of the positive (+) and negative (-) markings on the battery and pager housing. To install a new battery, reverse this procedure, taking note of the positive (+) and negative (-) markings.
CAUTION: Do not insert the battery backwards or the messages stored or locked in memory will be erased.

CARE OF YOUR PAGER

To maintain the fine optical quality of the display in the pager, do not subject it to extreme temperatures and moisture.

CLEANING YOUR PAGER
To clean smudges and grime from the exterior of the housing, use a soft, non-abrasive cloth moistened in a mild soap and water solution. Rinse the surface using a second cloth moistened in clean water. Do not immerse the pager in water. Do not use any other cleaning solutions.
