Are you providing your clients with an adequate level of service when your office is closed?  Many businesses lose countless clients because no one is available to take their calls and help them with after hours problems.  What about the people who grab the Yellow Pages and start calling in hopes of finding someone who is open?  They could become new clients for you.  There are cost effective solutions that can help you keep your clients satisfied.

You can forward all of your after hours, lunch, and break time calls to our Telephone Answering Service who will answer using your business name.  We can take messages or page, fax or call you with important or urgent calls.  We'll even take orders for you, if you want.  We can act as your own personal administrative assistant without the cost of having someone in your office 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.

Another method of ensuring that your clients are provided with a live operator is to tie our Answering Service into your Voice Mail system.  With this service, anyone calling your office after hours will be presented with the option of pressing zero to reach a live operator for immediate assistance.  Your phone system would then forward the call to our Telephone Answering Service who would proceed to handle the call in accordance with your specifications.

How often, when you are driving around the city, do you have to find a phone so that you can call the office to check your Voice Mail only to find out that you have no messages?  Pager Notification is a valuable tool for the business owner, manager or salesperson who wishes to be notified of his calls immediately but finds it unfeasible to have a receptionist at the office twenty four hours a day.  We can program your pager to alert every time someone leaves a message in your voice mail.  You are then able to call in and retrieve your message and return the call within minutes without having to go to the office or pay a receptionist.

Free Paging Services

Clients tell us all the time that they don't know how they managed without a pager!  Thousands of people in our community would say the same thing if only they tried one.  Here's a way that you can help them and yourself.  For every person that you send to us who signs up as a new paging client, your account will be credited for one month of free pager airtime (base rate only).  Tell enough people and you may never pay for your own paging services again!

Reminders for Our Pager Clients

v     Always use alkaline batteries in your pager.

v     It’s OK to use heavy duty batteries.

v     If your pager is broken, we will lend you one, with the same number, while yours is being repaired.

v     If you have lost your pager, we can lend you one for a couple of weeks while you attempt to locate it.

            Northern Communications continues to offer the Widest Regional Pager Coverage in Northern Ontario.  We can also provide you with pager coverage anywhere in Canada, or if you prefer, for all of Canada.  If you carry a Northern Communications pager and are going somewhere outside of our coverage area for the weekend, we will "loan" you a pager that will operate where you are going.  If you are frequently outside of our coverage area, we can exchange your pager with one that will work at your other destinations.

            We offer pager notification, which allows you to receive your internet e-mails on your pager.  Anytime an e-mail is sent to your account your pager will alert you with the sender's name, the subject and the first two lines of the e-mail.  A voice mailbox allows people to leave you voice messages which you can then retrieve by dialing your pager number.  Come and ask us about these and other paging features that will make your life simpler.
