Motorola's new LS750, Developed for trendy consumers, offers a new high-tech look. This numeric pager, available with FLEX technology, offers many enhanced features, including: 50 message slots; the ability to save messages when changing the battery; three smart alarms; time and date on standby; selective erase; private time; and seven musical alerts. User Information

 

CONTROL BUTTONS

There are three control buttons; Menu (black dot), Read (oval) and Select (check mark).  The Menu accesses pager menus and turns on the backlight; Read is used to turn the pager on, read messages and navigate through menus; and Select is used to select pager settings and features as well as to read additional screens of messages.

 

TURNING PAGER ON/OFF

Press the Read button, start-up screen is displayed and pager chimes (when in audible mode).  Press any button to stop the alert.  The Standby screen displays the time and date.  To turn off your pager, from the Standby screen, press the Menu button twice.  Press the Read button until “PAGER OFF” is displayed, then press the Select button.

 

SETTING THE TIME AND DATE

From the Standby screen, press the Menu button twice, press and release the Read button until “SET UP PAGER” is displayed.  Press the Select button and “TIME/DATE” is displayed.  Press the Select button and “FORMAT” is displayed, press and release Read button until your choice of “FORMAT” is displayed, then press Select.  Screen used to set the time is displayed with the hour digits flashing.  Press Read button until the correct hour is displayed, then press Select.  Repeat to set minutes and AM/PM.  After the time has been set, the screen for date is displayed.  Press and release Read button until the correct month is displayed, then press Select button.  Press and release Read button until the correct day is displayed, then press Select button.

 

TURN ON PRIVATE TIME

You can set a time period when your pager still receives messages but it will not alert.  Your pager goes into the Private Time mode daily until it is turned off.  From the Standby screen, press Menu button twice, press and release Read button until “SET UP PAGER” is displayed.  Press Select button, “PRIVATE OFF” or “PRIVATE ON” is displayed.  Press Read button until “PRIVATE ON” is displayed, then press Select.  Press and release Read button until the desired hour is displayed, then press Select.  Repeat to set the minutes and AM/PM.  The screen used to set the stop time is displayed.  To set the stop time follow the same procedure as setting the time.  When you pager has entered the private time mode, C replaces the alert mode indicator.

 

SETTING THE MESSAGE ALERT MODE

You can set your pager to a silent vibration alert of select one of the musical alerts.  From the Standby screen, press Menu button twice.  Press and release Read button until “SELECT ALERT” is displayed, then press Select.  Current alert is displayed.  Press Read until your choice of alert is displayed (audio or vibe).  When desired alert is displayed press Select.

 

MESSAGES

Your pager can receive up to 50 messages.  To read a new message, press Read button and it will display the first unread message.  If the message goes on to the next screen, press the Select button to continue.  “END” is displayed after the very last message.  To exit from any screen while reading your messages, press Menu button, “GO HOME” is displayed, then press Select button.  The number of unread messages is displayed before the pager returns to Standby mode.

 

READING STORED MESSAGES

From Standby, press Read button twice.  The first screen of the first stored message is displayed.  Press Select to display the next stored message. 

 

DELETING MESSAGES

Messages that you no longer want can be deleted one at a time or all at once (DELETE ALL).  Display the message you want to delete.  Press the Menu button, “GO HOME” is displayed.  Press the Read button until “DELETE MSG” is displayed.  Press Select, “DELETED” is displayed.  To delete all messages, from the Standby screen, press Menu button twice.  Press and release the Read button until “DEL ALL MSGS” is displayed, then press Select button.  “DEL ALL YES” is displayed, press Select button.  “DELETED” is displayed.

 

MESSAGE FOLDER

You can prevent important messages from being deleted by moving them into the message folder.  Up to 25 messages can be moved into the folder.  Messages can only be moved one at a time.  With the message displayed, press Menu button.  Press and release Read button until “MOVE FOLDER” is displayed.  Press Select button.  “MOVED” is displayed.  To read a message in the folder, from the Standby screen press Menu button twice.  “GO FOLDER” is displayed.  Press Select to display the first screen of your message, press Select to display the second screen, etc.  Press the Read button to display the next stored message.  To exit from any screen while reading messages, press Menu button, “GO HOME” is displayed, then press Select.  Pager returns to the Standby mode.  To delete a message from the folder, display the message and press Menu button.  Press and release Read button until “DELETE MSG” is displayed.  Press Select “DELETED” is displayed.

 

ALARMS

There are three alarms.  Each alarm can be set for one time on a specific date, specific time daily or a specific time weekly.  To set the alarm from the Standby screen press Menu button twice.  Press and release Read button until “SET ALARM” is displayed.  Press Select button, “ALARM 1” is displayed.  Press and release Read button until your choice of “ALARM 1, ALARM 2, ALARM 3” is displayed, then press Select.  Press and release Read until “ON” is displayed, then press Select.    To set the alarm follow the instructions for Setting Time and Date.  When finished setting alarm and date, press and release Read button to display your choice of “1 Time, Daily, Weekly” press Select button.  “SET” is displayed.  To turn off daily or weekly alarm form the Standby screen, press Menu button twice.  Press and release Read button until “SET ALARM” is displayed, then press Select.  Press and release Read button until alarm you want to turn off is displayed, then press Select button.  Press and release Read button until “OFF” is displayed, then press Select.
