System Options
Pagers are all activated by being
programmed through our main computer system. There are a number of options (like
voice mail!) that
you can add to you pager to enhance it's features for you. Send us an
e-mail and we can just program it for.
You immediately get the feature and it saves you the need to drive in!
If you already have an option on your pager and need instructions, follow the
link on the side for Option Info. It will tell you how to record your custom
greeting, access your voice mail and even how to re-transmit your pages!
Options Available
When a caller dials your pager, they get to
listen to a custom recording in your own voice. Eg. "You have reached
Mike Shantz & associates, Please leave your message at the sound of the tine
and we will get right back to you" See

Is a more economical version of Custom
Greeting. Rather than the entire message being custom, you are allowed to add
your name onto a generic message.
“Please leave your message for John Smith”
Callers can leave a regular voice message.
The pager is alerted and the person carrying the pager
the knows to check their voice mail. It's like an answering machine in your
pocket! See Option info for instructions.
If you are concerned that you might miss a
page, with this option you can call into your pager mailbox and have the
computer announce the numbers that were paged out to you. See
Option info for instructions.
If you are concerned that you might miss a
page, with this option every message is stamped with a "sequence" number
from 0 to 32 and then back to 0. If you notice that you have received
message 4,5,7 then you know that you have missed message number 6. Call into
the numeric mailbox and either listen to the message or have it
retransmitted.
If you have been out of range and are
concerned you may have missed a page this is for you. When you return to a
location where you know you are in range you can call up your pager and
using some simple codes have your message re-transmitted out to you.

Your pager can work in Sudbury, North Bay and Timmins and you can access all
areas with a single local call. No long distance charges and great coverage!
If you normally are in a "fringe" area then
we can set your pager up so that when it is called, it will alert a second
or a third time to increase your chances or receiving those important calls.
If you have a voice pager and sometimes miss
the message or just didn't have enough time to write down the phone number
then this is for you. We program your pager to alert once but have the voice
message sent out to you twice!
You can get full text
messages from a touch tone phone.
If you have a alphanumeric pager, anyone can call you from any touch tone
telephone and send you a full text message.

For a
small bit extra per month
you can
get a personal “Toll Free” number which activates
your
pager and gives you
50 free calls from anywhere in the US and Canada.
Overcalls are at $0.24 each.
If you have a voice mailbox and
someone you know has a voice mailbox as well, for only $0.50 per month you can
have page forwarding. This means that if someone leaves a message for you, and
it should be for someone else, you can just copy it into the other person’s
mailbox without having to write the message down and calling back.
This means that a call comes in, it is sent out to the pager and simultaneously
put in the voice mailbox. The
user
has to call in to “tell” the system that he received the page. If he doesn’t,
the system will continue to page him up to twenty (20) times. The repeat
sequence terminates when either the PUP repetitions have completed their cycle,
or when the
user
calls in and interrupts the sequence by retrieving a message, which ever comes
first.
You can have up to fifteen (15) other pagers automatically alerted in
sequence along with your pager. Firemen, sales & service, medical teams
etc.
If you just want to play an informational message of up to three minutes in
length we can do that
Callers can listen to your Custom Greeting (extended time included) and
leave a message that stays in storage for up to twenty four (24)
hours.
We can
issue you an e-mail address that you can send a copy of all your Internet mail
to. When someone sends you an e-mail within 5 minutes your pager goes off and
you see who it was sent from, the subject line and depending on the type of
message up to the first 100 lines of information. No more checking you mail
waiting for a message!!
