EXIT/BACKLIGHT SELECTION READ/CONFIRM TURNING PAGER ONPress the READ/CONFIRM button for two seconds, the screen will display all characters/symbols, and the alert will be on at the same time. The pager is now under standby mode.
TURNING PAGER OFFPress the SELECTION button until PGR OFF appears. Press READ/CONFIRM button to confirm. No messages can be received when the pager is off but the date and time will still appear.
RECEIVING MESSAGESThe pager will sound or vibrate when it receives a message. Press READ/CONFIRM button to display the message. If the message is not read within eight seconds, the number of unread messages will be displayed on the screen.
LOCKING/UNLOCKING MESSAGESWhile reading the message, press the SELECTION button, LOCK and DELETE will appear. Once LOCK appears, press the READ/CONFIRM button to accept this option. A lock will appear at the bottom of the screen. To unlock a message, press the SELECTION button while reading the message. UNLOCK appears. Press READ/CONFIRM button to accept this option.
DELETING MESSAGESWhen reading a message, press SELECTION button. LOCK and DELETE will appear. Once DELETE appears press READ/CONFIRM button to accept this option. To delete all message at one time, press the SELECTION button from the standby screen. Continue to press it until “DEL ALL?” appears. Press the READ/CONFIRM button for one second and all messages will then be deleted.
SETTING THE TIME AND DATEFrom the standby screen, press the SELECTION button until TIME appears. Press READ/CONFIRM to accept. Use the SELECTION button to change the digits to the correct numbers and the READ/CONFIRM button to move the cursor. Once you have set the correct time, you can accept these options by pressing EXIT.
SETTING THE ALARMPress the SELECTION button until ALARM appears. Press READ/CONFIRM to accept this option. Use the SELECTION button to change the digits and READ/CONFIRM to move the cursor. Use the EXIT button to exit and confirm this option once you have set the alarm. A bell will appear at the bottom of the screen to let you know the alarm has been set.
SETTING ALERTSPress SELECTION button until the SOUND or SILENT appears. If the pager is in vibrate mode then SOUND will appear, if the pager is in beep mode then SILENT will appear. Once you have chosen the mode you wish to use, press READ/CONFIRM to accept this option. You can also choose from different tones by pressing SELECTION button until MELODY appears. Press READ/CONFIRM to accept this option.
BATTERY INFORMATIONThis pager is designed to operate on one AAA alkaline battery. To install the battery, slide the locking tab to the unlocked position. Remove the battery cover from the pager. Remove the old battery and install a new battery by aligning the positive and negative ends of the battery with the picture of the battery inside the battery compartment. The negative end of the battery should be resting against the spring. Replace the battery cover and slide the locking tab to the locked position. When the pager’s battery needs to be changed, a battery will appear on the display
CAUTIONS1) This pager is made up of LCD and precision elements. Avoid water, high temperature, strong light and poisonous gas. 2) Replace battery when the sign of low battery appears. Take out battery if the pager will not be in use for a long time. 3) When an antenna appears in the bottom right hand corner of the display, this means that the pager is within the service area. When the antenna is not shown, you are out of the service area. 4) A speaker will appear at the bottom of the display if the pager is in beep alert mode. It will not be shown if the pager is in vibrate mode.
